I was there for the Iowa renaissance Festival and the people are kind and friendly. The grounds are extensive, and the town is small and peaceful.

We attended the Iowa Renaissance Fair there and it was a fantastic space for the event.

Big space. I visited there for the Iowa Ren Festival today. Nice open space. No one was crowded. A lot of hills though.

It's a perfect setting for the Renaissance Festival. You can see a King with his Queen, Knights, Wizards, Pirates, and men in armor strolling throughout the park. There are many people wearing costumes. You can watch jousting, axe throwing and sword fighting. If you get tired of walking about you can grab yourself some food and sit in the park pavilion where you can both eat and listen to music. After that you can visit the many small shops which offer a variety of things. It is well worth the $10 I had to pay to get in. There's plenty of parking. It is most definitely kid friendly. And before I go

A nice open space. Good pavilions. Nice restrooms. No play equipment.
